Manga, you ridiculous fruit. It’s your birthday!

Amanda has been in my life for years now and I couldn’t be more happy about that. She is and forever will be the kindest, most loyal and sweetest person in the universe, and anyone that can call her a friend is incredibly lucky. She will always be there for you if you need her, and she’ll patiently listen to your silly problems and offer advice and fix things. Manga, you are the best friend anyone could ever have (BUT don’t let me take advantage of you. I remember once you MADE my science project for me? AND THAT HUGE LOLLIPOP I FORCED YOU TO BUY ME ONCE. I WAS SUCH A SPOILED CHILD.).

Manga’s life this past year has been really hard and I’m so proud of her for keep on going and being awesome and spreading her fruit magic around. You are incredible and amazing and I love you.

(I included some pictures of me and Manga hanging out in this post. My personal favorite is the last one, in which you can see that my tiny self has been looking up to Manga since a young age.)

And stop calling yourself an old lady. You still have 70 years of life ahead of you. You get to be an old lady in 60.

I think it is important but I also think it’s important and necessary to show women for who they are which is also venerable and emotional and mad. Instead of just showing women who are like ‘I work I have kids I can do everything’ I feel like that’s a bad representation, it can be done but not without enormous levels of stress, so I think that’s more important than showing ballsy women. - Billie Piper
